About Gather
Gather is the full-service oceanfront restaurant at Village Beach Club in Nags Head, North Carolina. New for the 2026 season, Gather brings elevated coastal dining to the Outer Banks with a hospitality-driven food and beverage program, handcrafted cocktails, and a relaxed beach club atmosphere.
Whether guests are starting the morning with beachside breakfast, grabbing lunch between pickleball matches, enjoying cocktails by the pool, or sitting down for dinner after a day on the sand, Gather is designed to be the dining destination they return to throughout their vacation.
Gather is open to the public. No membership is required to dine.
Meet Shaun Belangia
Food & Beverage Director
With more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, culinary operations, and guest experience management, Shaun Belangia brings a passion for exceptional service, quality food, and innovative hospitality to Village Beach Club.
A North Carolina native and graduate of the Culinary Institute of Virginia with a degree in Culinary Science and Restaurant Management, Shaun has built a career leading restaurants, hotels, catering operations, and hospitality teams throughout the region. His background includes executive chef positions at premier hotel properties, restaurant ownership, and the development of successful food and beverage concepts across Coastal North Carolina and the Outer Banks.
As Food & Beverage Director for Village Beach Club, Shaun oversees culinary operations, beverage programming, special events, and guest experience initiatives. His vision is centered on creating memorable experiences that blend great food, refreshing beverages, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere that makes the Outer Banks a favorite destination for visitors and locals alike.
Known for his hands-on leadership style and commitment to hospitality, Shaun focuses on building strong teams, maintaining high standards, and continuously enhancing the guest experience. Whether introducing new menu offerings, developing innovative beverage programs, or creating memorable events, his goal is to ensure every guest enjoys the very best Village Beach Club has to offer.
When he's not at the club, Shaun enjoys spending time with family, exploring emerging hospitality trends, and finding new ways to elevate the guest experience through creativity, technology, and genuine Southern hospitality.
